"வாசுவும் சரவணனும் ஒண்ணா படிச்சவங்க" படத்திற்கு கேளிக்கை வரிவிலக்கு அளிக்கக்கூடாது என்று கோரி சட்ட பஞ்சாயத்து இயக்கம் வணிகவரித்துறை செயலாளருக்கு மனு அனுப்பியுள்ளது. கடிதத்தின் நகல், எந்தெந்தப் படங்களுக்கு கேளிக்கை வரிவிலக்கு அளிக்கலாம் என்பது குறித்த அரசாணை நகல் ஆகியவற்றை இணைத்துள்ளோம். 

இதுபோன்ற வரிவிலக்கு கொடுப்பதால் அரசிற்கு பலநூறு கோடிகள் வரி இழப்பு ஏற்படுகிறது (1997ல் ரூ.109 கோடியாக இருந்த கேளிக்கை வரிவருவாய் 10 ஆண்டுகள் கழித்து 2007ல் ரூ.16 கோடியாக குறைந்துள்ளது)

                                              -- Satta Panchayat Iyakkam sends representation to Commercial Tax Department

Satta Panchayat Iyakkam(SPI) Sent representation to the Secretary of Commercial Tax department requesting to NOT give Entertainment Tax exemption to the film "Vaasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga". ( Citing the criteria listed in GO : 002 dt 03.01.2012).

To put it in numbers, In 1997, entertainment tax revenue to TN is : Rs.109 Cr. After 10 yrs, it should have raised to 5 times or more.. But it stands at Rs.16 cr..!! ) . We are not against a particular film. The logic needs to be applied on all Tamil films. Exceptional films only given Tax exemption, not all films..
