தமிழ்நாட்டின் கிராம ஊராட்சிகளில் MGNREGS திட்டத்தின் செயல்பாடு பற்றி தமிழ்நாட்டின் 37 மாவட்டங்களுக்கு ஒரு கிராம ஊராட்சி வீதம் 37 கிராம ஊராட்சிகளுக்கு நேரடியாக சென்று ஆய்வு நடத்தியதன் மூலம் கண்டறியப்பட்ட ஆய்வறிக்கையை வரும் செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை அன்று பத்திரிக்கையாளர் முன்னிலையில் சென்னையில் வெளியிட உள்ளோம். தமிழ்நாட்டில் MGNREG திட்டம் எவ்வாறு திட்டமிடப்படுகிறது? எவ்வாறு செயல்படுத்தப்படுகிறது? அதன் மீதான சமூக தணிக்கை எவ்வாறு நடைபெறுகிறது? திட்டம் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வு மக்களிடமும் ஊராட்சி பிரதிநிதிகள் இடமும் எந்த வகையில் உள்ளது? போன்ற பல பரிமாணங்களை ஆராயும் இந்த ஆய்வறிக்கையை வெளியிட்டு விளக்க பத்திரிக்கையாளர்கள், சமூக செயல்பாட்டாளர்கள் மற்றும் பொதுமக்கள் அனைவரையும் உரிமையுடன் அழைக்கிறோம்.
ஏற்கனவே இந்திய அரசின் பட்ஜெட்டில் இத்திட்டத்திற்கான நிதி ஒதுக்கீடு 33% அளவில் 60,000 கோடி ரூபாயாகக் குறைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள நிலையில் இந்த ஆய்வறிக்கை மற்றும் அதைச் சார்ந்த பரிந்துரைகள் தமிழ்நாட்டின் 100 நாள் வேலைத் திட்ட தொழிலாளர்களுக்கும் கிராம ஊராட்சிகளின் வளர்ச்சிக்கும் உதவும் என்ற நம்பிக்கையுடன் கூட இருக்கும் இக்கூட்டத்தில் அனைவரும் தவறாமல் கலந்து கொள்ளுமாறு கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறோம்.
இந்த முக்கிய சந்திப்பிற்கு தங்களது நிரூபரை அனுப்பி இந்த ஆய்வறிக்கையின் தகவல்களை/ கண்டறிதல்களை தமிழ்நாடு அரசுக்கும் கிராம மக்களுக்கும் கொண்டு செல்ல ஒத்துழைக்க வேண்டுகிறோம்.

For the past six months, we have undertaken a field research titled "A study on planning, implementation and auditing of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) in Village Panchayats of Tamil Nadu". The research was conducted in 37 village panchayats i.e., one village panchayat per district (Except Chennai) in Tamil Nadu. We are releasing the research report on Tuesday at Chennai Press club in front of the press and other media networks.
The report explains I) how this scheme is being implemented in Tamil Nadu II) How the auditing is being conducted III) How the elected representatives in village panchayats are aware about this scheme.
We will also share the key findings of the research report and recommendations.
As you all know that, this year union budget allocation for this scheme has been reduced by 33% as compared to last year. This report and its recommendations will be a useful resource that benefits the welfare of MGNREGA workers as well as for the empowerment of village panchayats in Tamil Nadu.
For this important meeting, we kindly request you to send your reporters/resource persons to cover the event and take this key findings and recommendations to the knowledge of Tamil Nadu government which will benefit a larger section of people.
